The Federal Student Aid Estimator can help you understand your options to pay for college by providing an early estimate of your Expected Family Contribution (EFC) and eligibility for federal student aid. This will give you an idea of your eligibility for federal student aid.
The estimator is available for use by students, parents, and college access professionals who want to get an early estimate of what aid may be available to a student considering college.
To use begin your estimate for federal student aid, you will need:
- Information about yourself (and your parents if you are a dependent student) such as: date of birth, marital status, dependent information and college plans.
- Your Federal tax information or tax returns (and spouse, if married) and your parent’s information if you are an dependent student.
- Information on savings, investments, and assets for yourself (and for your parents if you are a dependent student).
